Hello everyone,
I’ve been experiencing a persistent and frustrating issue on my Galaxy S25 Ultra running One UI 7.0 (firmware version S938BXXS3AYDA – May 2025 security patch).
The issue: When unlocking the phone using either the power button or fingerprint sensor, there’s a 2–3 second delay before the screen fully turns on. Sometimes it stays stuck on the AOD screen for a few seconds before responding.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Updated to latest firmware (May 2025 patch)
- Factory reset (clean setup – no backup restored)
- Disabled Face ID, AOD, Adaptive Battery, gestures, Edge Panels
- Tried both FHD+ and QHD+ resolution
- Cleared One UI Home data
- Switched to light mode
- Used Safe Mode (issue still happens)
- Even disabled Galaxy Watch sync and tried with basic lock screen setup
Despite all this, the issue continues — randomly throughout the day.
This seems to be a software-level bug in One UI 7, possibly related to sleep-to-wake transition or screen wake handling.
Is anyone else experiencing the same? Please let me know if you've noticed this issue or found a fix. Let’s bring more visibility so Samsung addresses it.
Thanks!

Hey dear, hope all is good, I'm facing kind of the same issue, although I'm still on the one ui7 security patch of April, One UI 7 is a chaos, the 6.0 was amazing and super smooth, I think we're gonna wait till One UI 8 to fix this chaotic system 😪
