جالاكسى SFour days ago, I updated my Galaxy S24+ to Android 16, and after the update my phone stopped charging. It kept showing a notification that there was dust or debris in the charging port. I tried cleaning it carefully but the issue continued. When I visited the nearest Samsung service center, they told me the port had moisture damage and asked me to pay for the repair. However, I explained that I had seen many similar reports on the Samsung Community forums, and that the issue started only after the software update. After some discussion, they finally agreed to replace the port under warranty at no cost. I want to share this experience so that others facing the same problem know it can be resolved without extra charges.
Now the phone is charging, but I’m facing a new problem — it heats up a lot while charging. I hope Samsung takes note of this, as the issue clearly seems to be linked to the recent software update.
