Dear Samsung Team,
I am a Galaxy S25 Ultra user, and I would like to request support for higher refresh rates when connecting the phone to an external monitor via USB-C to HDMI.
Currently:
The external display is limited to 60Hz
This limitation exists in both Samsung DeX and Screen Mirroring
My external monitor supports 120Hz, and the phone itself supports 120Hz
This limitation affects:
Gaming performance (especially competitive games)
Overall smoothness and user experience
Full utilization of the device’s hardware capabilities
I kindly request:
Support for at least 1080p @ 120Hz on external displays
An option to manually select refresh rate in DeX or Display settings
Many users would greatly benefit from this feature.
Please consider adding it in a future software update.
Thank you for your continuous support and innovation.
Best regards, Galaxy S25 Ultra User

Hello,

This feature depends on the CPU, and for now we are providing smooth expeareance with the 60HZ, but thanks for you feedback, we can check this with the next updates.

Dear Samsung Support Team,

Thank you for your previous reply.

I would like to ask for clarification regarding external display support on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Is Samsung currently working on enabling 120Hz support for external displays (via USB-C to HDMI) in an upcoming update?

Also, could you please clarify:

Is this feature planned for a near future update?

Or is there no current plan or timeline for adding this feature?

This information is very important for me, as I need to decide whether to keep using my Galaxy S25 Ultra or change to another device.

I would appreciate your honest guidance so I can make the right decision.

Thank you for your time and support.
