Whatsapp audio messages glitch

Playback of audio messages in Whatsapp only works properly while chat is open and screen is on. In case of screen going off due to idle screen for more than 30 seconds or turning off the screen by power button, or even changing to home screen using home button, the audio message sound gets distorted. By going back to the chat screen, the sound returns back to normal.

That is the way it should be after the last update
We used to play voice chat over the background
But not for anymore
My phone still capable of doing so
While other phones is not
It is all about compatibility
Can't give an answer for that
As it is either YES or NO
No option to activate it or disable it

There is one way to do this that might help

When you open what'sapp app press the bottom of Recent apps the go to the icon of Whatsapp page and press it
You will find 3 options
One of them '' keep the the app open '' do so
I guess it should work fine with you

But remember this idea may consume your battery consumption by + 15%

Thank you Abu Talal. If I restart my phone this problem goes away. After using for a while it comes back again, then again I restart.
But when audio is connected to Bluetooth device it always happens

Problem solved by switching off the Dolby Atmos mode.

Even in Bluetooth mode it is okay now

No, the problem is not gone. Even after full factory reset, the audio message playback in Bluetooth works only while chat screen is open. ☹

Sorry for delayed update: The subject issue is permanently resolved after the Whatsapp update of voice message playback speed control option was added.
