I’ve been experiencing significant battery drain on my Galaxy A36 5G. Even when Power Saving Mode is enabled and most background apps are restricted, the phone loses battery unusually fast.
For example, during a recent 6-hour trip, the device dropped from nearly full charge to almost empty, even though the screen was off most of the time and no heavy apps were used. AccuBattery data shows high “awake” time (around 8–9 hours) and large battery usage during screen-off periods (around 37% of total drain).
This issue persists even after restarting the phone, clearing cache, and disabling unnecessary apps. I’ve also:
Switched to 4G only (disabled 5G)
Put social apps (Instagram, Snapchat, Spotify) into Deep Sleep
Used Power Saving Mode with background restrictions
Checked for app updates and system updates
Despite all this, the phone remains awake for long durations, and the drain continues while idle.
