samsung promises 2 years of major updates it's changed to 3 years but this policy isn't changed to note 9 the note 9 is capable of being upgraded to android 11 as note 10 lite has the same processor and gpu and will be upgraded to android 11 . I think it's fair because before you bought your mobile you should have known that this phone will be getting 2 years of major updates
BUT WHATS NOT FAIR is that note 9 was released 18 days before android 9. samsung thinks that the update to android 9 and update to android 10 are the 2 major updates.
