I used my note 8 for half year and now it is dead because I took it to make some underwater pics and videos. I was sure its was water resistant and nothing gonna happen but 30 minutes later the phone was overheated and switched off and never worked again. Now I understand that it was my fault because I forgot fact that when I bought after 5 days I noticed the screen is not work properly and replaced it by guarantee. I believe after replacement the phone has lost it's water resistance ability. Although I believe service center should have warned me that it's better not to place it under water. So people my advice- never place your smartphones into water. Samsung company will never recover your phone if it was wet. it's written in the guarantee
