Muting incoming call

When my Note screen is off and I receive a call. I don't want to answer or reject it. I just want to start using another app. How can I accomplish this. If I am using another App and I receive a call, I can keep using the App and put incoming call aside but above seems to be not possible.

Go into Settings- advanced features - motions and gestures - turn on mute with gestures

Put your hand over the screen, then the call will be automatically muted

Additionally, go into phone app - then press the three dots in the right corner of the app - click settings- call display while using apps - you can choose either pop-up or mini pop-up

when ur screen is off. you should unlock your screen first to use your mobile. if incoming call you can answer or reject or mute by volume

Pop-up or mini Pop-up is used for when user is using another App and receives a call. This means, his screen is already ON ( Being used ).

let me rephrase my question.
My screen is off. I receive a call. I can mute it by just pressing the Sound Up/Down button. Now after that I don't want to wait for 30 seconds for call to keep all my screen occupied and I cannot go to another page.
Let's say, I want to start using WhatsApp even my phone has incoming call.

This was easily done on Oxygen UI by just going to top bar and go to any option and incoming call will go to background.

it is not calling issue .your phone is lock . you cannot use whatsapp when your mobile is locked even there is no call

Ok, I can accomplish it using panel menu. Panel menu can be activated whether there is call on the screen or not.
