The native Samsung camera app allows me to choose 1080 resolution with 60 FPS which is amazing.
Since I am a filmmaker, I also use the app Filmic Pro to shoot video on my Note 8. However I can't choose 60 FPS.
So naturally I sent to Filmicpro technical support and they replied back and told me this is because Samsung has internal private APIs that enable 60 FPS and isn't accessible to 3rd party developers.
This puts Note 8 at a big disappointment giving iPhone an advantage because all camera features are open to 3rd party.
There's even an app that allows rooted devices to unlock 60 FPS (link below).
