Some users may already know about the Stretch Font on Lock screen available since One UI 8.0, but we wanted to reintroduce this feature and explain how to set it up for those who may not already know.
Stretch Font is a feature that automatically adjusts the length of the number to match the lock screen background image.
Since the clock is adjusted so that it doesn't cover the subject in the photo, you can decorate the lock screen with a more attractive look.
1. What is the function of Stretch Font?
- Recognize the subject of the image in the Wallpaper
- Adjust the vertical length of the hour
number to blend perfectly with the background image.
2. When can the Stretch effect be applied?
- If the image in the background is a photo selected from the Gallery
- If there is a subject such as a person, animal, or object in the photo
- (One UI 8.0) The photo contains a person or animal
- (One UI 8.5) Will be applied to the image if the outline is detected
- If the subject's outline is relatively clear
- If a
clock style that supports Stretch Font is selected- The Stretch effect can only be used with 2 styles from the Clock list.
3. Here's how to set it up!
Path: Wallpaper > settings and styles > Lock screen > Clock > Font and color > Second font
(1) Select your favorite photo from the Gallery and set it as a background.
(2) Select Stretch Font and clock style from the list of Fonts and colors.
(3) Adjust the color, thickness, and position of the watch to your liking, then you're done!
