Samsung DeX allows you to extend your screen to create a smooth multitasking environment, providing a larger workspace and intuitive multitasking features. You can open apps in separate windows, drag and drop files, and connect wirelessly to an external monitor or TV. To make your workspace more personal, add widgets like Weather, Calendar, or Clock to the Home screen for quick access to information.
Note:
- Widgets in Samsung DeX are supported starting with One UI 8 (Android 16). Make sure your Galaxy tablet's software is up to date before using this feature.
- Depending on your device model and One UI version, the interface may look different.
Add a widget to your Home screen
Follow these steps to add widgets to the Samsung DeX Home screen when your Galaxy tablet is connected to an external display.
Step 1. Press the right mouse button on an empty area of the Start screen on the connected screen, then select Widgets from the pop-up menu.
Step 2. Browse through the available widgets and select the one you want to add.
Step 3. The widget will appear on your DeX Home screen.
Note:
- Widgets in tablet mode and DeX mode are managed separately. Adding or removing a widget in one mode does not affect the other.
