Deleting Camera App Data
This issue may occur due to a temporary error in the camera app. Deleting the app data can help restore normal operation.
Note: Deleting the camera app data will reset all camera settings to their defaults. Photos and videos will not be deleted.
- Go to Settings > Select Apps.
- Select Camera.
- Select Storage.
- Select Clear Data.
- Select Delete.
Restart Your Phone
A temporary error in the camera app may prevent it from working properly. Restart your phone from the Power menu and check if the camera works normally.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap the Power icon.
- Select Restart.
Perform a Camera Diagnosis in Samsung Members
If the issue persists, check the camera function using the Samsung Members app.
Check Your Galaxy Phone Using the Samsung Members App
To test a specific component:
- Open the Samsung Members app > Select Support.
- Tap Phone Diagnostics > Select Camera.
- Check the result.
