Jethro73 has found this trick and I am sharing with you ..
1- Uninstall whatsapp from your watch 2- Join the whatsapp beta tester version on https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.whatsapp/join?hl=en-US , as to join as beta tester 3- Check on your phone playstore the whatsapp phone version if it says that now you have the beta version 4- once you have checked you have the beta version, restart your phone and watch. 5- install whatsapp on your watch 6- Once you open it it will probably ask you to update because is an absolete version, as it used to do. Click on update, and now you should have the chance to update your whatsapp watch app (Hold the Update button til Download begins) 7- link your watch with your phone as usual.
