hdr on camera app turned on but dosent work

Hi,

From 3 software updates ago for my galaxy a9 2018 the hdr mode on the camera app dosen't work on the rear cameras but only in the front camera, and the mode is turned on.

I don't know how to fix the problem and hope that anyone can help.

I added sample photos

Camera app version is 10.0.01.85 and also it shows that it's the last update.

It show's that hdr will work

But the result is the same and dosen't work at all

it looks like that the dynamic range in that scene is way too high for that shot.

try to set the focus on the wall, to get another exposure measuring and see that it'll be different

i have some shots in the car, and shots that directed to the the sky and in no one the hdr worked. in the past when the dynamic range worked there was an yellow indicator that showed that the hdr is in process and now there is no yellow indicator. in the front camera the indicator works. added some more shots.

And I hate mine for always HDRing ever when I'm turning it off.
Did you try to reset the camera app?

Even tried factory reset 😪.

the system updates destroyed the phone.

try to send a Bug report to the tech team, direct from Members app.
they are communicative and willing to help.

I recommend to you to download gcam and check if the hdr work

Hello and welcome to our community!
HDR option Captures multiple images and combines them into one image.
The camera captures each image at a different exposure, combining them into an image with optimal exposure whenever possible, thus increasing the dynamic range of the camera
This option will not necessarily help to change lighting conditions.
Try using professional shooting mode and change the settings that affect the lighting in the image you are trying to take.
Previously the HDR icon appeared in yellow after the update to Android 10 its display was changed and now it is white.

first of all the yellow hdr process indicator dosent changed to white (added photo) and secondly i added more photos that shows how the hdr dosent work. i know that because from 3 updates ago it was all good. (all the updates was security updates)
