Hi I tried resetting my new Samsung m31s, as I have a good forgotten the password I'm unable to login thought my fingerprints. I am not receiving "forget password" kind of thing when I am trying to enter different password, which we usually get in other mobiles. I have tried all the possible reset methods from Google but no use. This is the first time I thought of using Samsung device I think I have faced a lot of trouble with this device. Kindly help with this.

One of the ways to unlock the phone is Android Device Manager. On a computer or other mobile phone, you need to visit the website, google.com/android/devicemanager. Sign in using your Google login details used on your locked phone. Then, select the device you need to unlock and select ‘Lock'. Enter a temporary password and click ‘Lock' again. You will get a confirmation below the box with three buttons - Ring, Lock and Erase. Now, you will get a password field on your phone in which you should enter

Use Google login to unlock the lock screen pattern

This method works on devices that run on Android 4.4 KitKat and below. This is a faster way to unlock your smartphone. If you don't remember your lock screen pattern, you can enter wrong patterns for more five or more times and select the option - Forgot Pattern. You can enter the backup Pin or Google login details. This will unlock your smartphones.

Brother. Actually whqt do you want ? Formatting your phone or resetting your password ? For formatting, Go to "google find my mobile" in a browser and erase your phone. For password resetting use samsung account , or if you don't have a samsung account ,then go to a service centre 😊👍

Boot into recovery and reset from there.

Power off your device, and press power and volume up button together. Go to factory reset and confirm. Done.
