Samsung Note 20 Ultra Overheating Issue

I got the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra exynos version yesterday and the device is getting heated up in normal scenarios like watching YouTube, browsing internet, copying data and using the camera.

Is there anyone facing this issue ?

Samsung kindly provide solution on this, considering this a premium flagship do we deserve this kind of experience ?

You must have updated your device in couple of days.

you must switched off your mobile for 30mints and switched on.

there should not be any issue after that

yes the device is updated to the latest version and latest security updates. Even after switching off and on, it does not solve the issue.

Hi anirban, can you tell me what is the temperature it goes to? I have not faced the kind of issues you are telling on my Note 20 Ultra. It had got slightly warm only while I was setting it up as the phone was also charging at that time. Kindly let me know what temperature it goes to with a screenshot. There can be an issue with some App that is not optimized too. This you could check by rebooting in safe more.

Also slightly warming of phone is normal for Exynos, that is not at all worrisome. Too much heating seems abnormal to me.

Hey Sid, thanks for the connect. It seems the temperature rises by 46..50 degree Celsius and then remains for a while and after the tasks are done like recording 1020p video, copying data, watching YouTube. Seems its not something app specific. The processor tries to cope up and may be the lack of a cooling liquid (samsung is using graphite instead) this issue is coming.

46-50 is too much Bro, dont think its something to do with hardware. Can you please try with Safe mode using YouTube. My temperature has crossed 40 only once while I was doing Data set up while the phone was at 25 watt charging

Bro, its a feature exclusively for the exynos users. Winter is coming, and not everyone in India wears gloves, so Samsung understood this problem, and knowingly provided the exynos version of their flagships, which can be used as mini heaters as well.
Put a bit of effort, and try making omelettes on the back while you're gaming. I'm sure that would work out too.😏😏

I did experience the overheating of the phone during the initial setup. but, that did not go away even with that, day to day usage (simple tasks like browsing, YouTube and camara usage) the phone gets warm and feels uncomfortable 😞

Okay I paid 5500 Sar for my phone in Saudi. I got the exynos processor instead of the snapdragon. I am so angry at the performance difference. This processor is significantly less than the snapdragon. And this phone overheats like crazy. Samsung where is youtube music for my galaxy watch 3. I loved your ecosystem, and I think you just lost me as a customer. I am so pissed off I spent 800 riyal and I use this tech for my job. I am disgusted.

Just open the camera and overheat in just one minute use taking pictures. No video recording. Every app that Just need a little processing and It starts to heat up. Why others smartphone dont need that actions to be usable, and the most advanced amd expensive Samsung phone had that awful issues? Others cheapest Samsung models dont haver any of these. Unbelieveble! If Samsung knows what ia overheating why It does not solve It, instead of making the user do these bypass actions?

Overheating issue during charging time & Overheating & battery drain during use camera
