I personally won't suggest anyone to download 3rd party apps to fulfill such purpose but you may try dj's option..

you can also download apps for notch notification alerts
like "led me know"
and dont worry you can download from playstore
people who said not to download from playstore and totally depends on inbuilt apps
then i would like to ask
why we have playstore?
if we don't use then what is the use of it
