Why it is important to filter blue light?
: because blue light can cause irreversible damage to cone cells in eyes. Thats why blue light filter is made & its helpful thing , use it to prevent your eyes.

not really, i actually experienced it causes strain in the eyes if you use it in the daylight. So its beneficial only in the dark/night time.

there should be a permanent blue light filter to the display for all day and a separate blue light filter for reading in the night
