reading the reviews of the update I didn't dare. I don't want my only smartphone to stuck on bootloop during the lockdown

it also removed some of the best features like ar doodle , motion wallpapers etc.etc.

yes.. yet after the second update on one ui 2 the bugs are not solved.. some having issues with hotspot, the brightness system broke.. they removed motion wallpaper but ar doodle is not removed I think.. I saw the option somewhere on a screenshot
