I am a Galaxy S22 Ultra user and unfortunately, a vertical line appeared on my display on January 1st, 2026.

I am aware that Samsung India has been offering a one-time free screen replacement for the S22 series due to this known issue, with the previous deadline being December 31, 2025. Since my issue appeared just one day after this date, I would like to know:

Has the free replacement policy been extended into 2026?

Is there a grace period for devices that develop the fault immediately after the deadline?

Are there any specific service centers or "VOC" (Voice of Customer) channels I should contact to get this approved?

My phone has no physical or liquid damage and has been maintained in mint condition. It feels unfair to pay for a display replacement (which is very expensive) for a defect that is widely acknowledged by Samsung as a hardware-software compatibility issue.

I would appreciate any help or guidance from the moderators or fellow users who have successfully claimed a replacement this month.
DKMISHRA
Hi Samsung team, has the warranty for green line issue extended upto July 2026? I have a green line on my phone which appeared after March 2026 software update. Customer service has denied service citing warranty has expired (phone was bought in April 2022). Its unfair that I am having to bear this cost as the update itself was sent n happened after warranty and with samsung clearly knowing that an update could cause such an issue. Please help in getting the display changed. Mine is S22 Thanks Chaitra.

Firmware/Software updates push the device to peak performance, generating significant heat. That thermal stress can expose weak points in the OLED display—especially fragile internal connections—leading to permanent display lines.

.

.

This isn’t normal wear and tear. It points to an underlying design or manufacturing flaw.

.

.

Samsung has a responsibility to address such core issues.

.

Instead, they are choosing to deny accountability and shift the burden onto customers—asking them to pay for what is clearly a defect.

That’s not just disappointing, it’s unacceptable.

.

.

Multiple users reporting it after updates, yet Samsung continues to show negligence by shifting the cost onto customers instead of acknowledging the problem.

.

.

In my case as well, the display issue appeared immediately after an official update, but it is still being treated as a chargeable repair since one goodwill support was already given.

.

.

So Samsung’s solution is simple:

👉 Push update

👉 Screen gets line issue

👉 Say “out of warranty”

👉 Charge ₹12,000 from Customer

.

.

What makes this worse?

Posts exposing this issue mysteriously get removed once they start gaining high views and traction on Samsung Members.

.

.

If Samsung spent half the effort fixing the issue instead of removing high-view posts, customers wouldn’t be this frustrated.

.

.

Removing posts only after they gain attention makes it look less like moderation and more like damage control. Silencing genuine customer complaints will never erase the problem.

.

.

Repeated Vertical Pink/Green Line Issue After Software Update - Galaxy S22+

.

https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S/Green-Line-after-update/td-p/22087300?src=ShareByUserCM

.

.

Beware-of-Updates 🚨

.

https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S/Beware-of-Software-updates/td-p/22020455?src=ShareByUserCM
