Just while scrolling through YouTube a came across a tech channel video, where I saw that samsung is secretly discontinuing its native messaging app Samsung Messages from July 2026 and moving to Google Messages 🤦🏻‍♂️ why @samsung ?

In all the android phones that I know, samsung is the only phone to have it's own dailer and messaging app, rest all of them are using Google dailer and Messaging app. Compared to the Google dailer and messaging app, the native samsung ones are better and working fine, then why moving to Google ?

And there not not many options that we are left with for messaging apps in the play store, only there's Google messaging app.

Now here a question arises that will this happen to the native phone app (samsung own dailer app) ?

I request yall at @samsung to please consider this decision.
