I use Samsung A06 5G. My original charger is 25W and EP-TA800. That charger's adapter is not working so I am using old charger which I used for my old phone.

That charger is 15W with model EP-TA200. I purchased that from a local shop last year for my older phone. My concern is that whether that would damage my phone or not. I am being very cautious. Please tell me if there are any side effects of using 15W charger for 25W phone. I do not care about charging speed.

This is the old charger 15W which I am now using.

This is the USB of that 15W charger.
Your Galaxy smartphone supports up to 25W fast charging, but using a 15W charger means it can’t reach its maximum speed.

It’s safe — Samsung devices automatically regulate charging power to match the charger’s capability.

The only downside is longer charging times (about 30–40% slower).

In fact, slower charging can be slightly better for battery health in the long term, since less heat is generated.

If you want speed, use a Samsung 25W PD charger with a good USB-C to C cable. If you’re okay with patience, keep using your 15W one.

If you found this helpful, please mark it as the accepted solution click on the three dots in my reply section and select Accept as Solution.
Thank you!🙏🏼

Yeah I would suggest an original cable or a really reputed brands cable. I use a belkin c to c cable on my 45w samsung adapter and it's doing dine

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

We would like to inform you that when you use the 25-watt charging adapter with your device, it will take less time to fully charge compared to the 15-watt charger.

Using a charger with lower wattage will not harm your device's battery. While it might take a bit longer to fully charge, rest assured that it's completely safe.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
