Hello Samsung Members,

Guess what! Your ideas and recommendations have helped improve the Galaxy experience for everyone in the community.

We can’t thank you enough. Let’s make it even better.

In this week of Innovation lab, drop your ideas for the topic Modes and Routines directly to our teams.

Modes and Routines offer options as follows:

1. Custom Routine: You can create your own custom routines of daily activities that will run automatically. Select your preferred conditions and take actions.

2. Sleep Mode: Automate your phone actions with your sleeping schedule with features like switch sound to vibrate, dark mode etc.

3. Driving Mode: Open maps, play music, change sound mode lets you perform useful actions while you drive.

4. Exercise Mode: Perform actions while you work out with play music at certain locations.

Wondering if there are more ways you can get the most out of the Modes and Routines app?

We would love to hear your feedback and suggestions.

Here are some ideas to begin with:

1. Recommend useful conditions/actions to be added.

2. Suggest useful daily routines based on User Lifestyle.

3. How can we decrease complexity of Modes and Routines?

4. Is UI hard/complicated to understand? How can we increase the ease to use for users to make it user friendly.

1. It's a location based Routine.

I just selected the apps which are needed to Location access turned ON. So, i automated it like if I enter those apps, the location will automatically turned ON and It'll be reversed once i close the app

2. Second is battery health related.
I Usually Go to sleep before 2AM. So, i selected sleep time and gave the condition to OFF fast charging, power saving and Extra dim.

More customization in modes and routines is needed. I tried modes and routines and i feel it need more customization to it in the automatically start ,condition.
There should be auto start of modes too , the conditions for auto starting should be available in modes too

Hey

I set some of the modes and routines ,it is useful but for me it lack some conditions , as sometimes it get started when i dont want to i tried setting condition and all to get it started just when i want to but it is not going that way. I set 'read comfortably ' study' , 'college'.
Also it is not as fast it should but good And it is also effecting heating
I feel there should be some more conditions , as just when i want it to start automatically none of the condition helps ,

or maybe i am demanding too much

My suggestions are

1. Public Holidays in Time-based Routine:
Automatically disable the alarm on specified public holidays

2. Switching Mobile Data between SIMs based on Location/Time/Start Manually option:
Routine to Seamlessly switch mobile data between SIM 1 and SIM 2 because at some places some networks are good. So specific Routine will be helpful

3. If possible allow to combine button conditions with a flag like Start manually or empty mode

Routine should have option to turn ON/OFF Sim + disable Apps

For Example - I have one SIM dedicated for Office communication and some apps like mail & whatsapp businees for office.

When i am out for leisure or holiday i dont like to be bothered by office mails and calls.

A simple routine where i can turn off stuff will be very helpful.

Hi,

I've configured a "Work" mode under Modes & Routines with the following triggers:

Arrival at my workplace location
Connection to my office Wi-Fi

I typically arrive at the office around 10 AM and leave by 6 PM. While the mode consistently deactivates when I leave, it rarely activates as expected—even when I'm connected to the designated Wi-Fi. Activation seems random and unreliable.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a solution?

I am also using Fold 7, one pattern i noticed that when I do a voice call on speaker the sounds come good from both the speaker but when I tilt or move the phone the sound goes to top speaker to bottom speaker, is this the same with you as well, could you please confirm? 🙏

App-based Trigger:
When a user opens a banking app → activate secure mode.

Unknown Caller Trigger:
If caller isn’t saved in contacts → auto-silence or send to screen call.

Suspicious SMS Condition:
Detect keywords like “OTP”, “loan”, “KYC”, links → move to spam or warn user.

Geo-Location Based:
If user is outside usual area → trigger alerts for risky access.

Block screen overlay pop-ups from unknown apps.

Auto-launch secure browser or incognito tab for payments.

Push fraud alert banner when SMS contains shortened or **bleep** URLs.

Trigger voice assistant alert if user tries to open risky links
