Since the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra is already rumored to feature a 200MP main camera sensor just like its predecessor, the S24 Ultra, Samsung could raise the bar by introducing a better 500MP camera sensor for its future Galaxy models.
Samsung has always been looking forward to bringing various revamps and enhancements to the camera hardware for the Galaxy smartphones, while a new report via a reliable tipster, Jukanlosreve, flashed on X, significantly hints that Samsung is currently working on more improved 500MP camera sensors.
He exclusively stated that the company is currently busy developing a 500MP camera sensor for its future Galaxy smartphones. Therefore, this newer approach will certainly help Samsung to offer a key boost to the camera hardware, aiming for a higher advantage over the other competitors in the market and will offer more improved yet stunning camera quality to the audience.
Alternatively, the tipster also mentioned that not only the 500MP sensor, Samsung is simultaneously developing a 3-layered stacked image sensor in a PD-TR-Logic configuration for Apple, claiming that this newer sensor will potentially be more advanced as compared to Sony’s existing Exmor RS.
Moreover, currently, these aforementioned rumors can’t be considered true, as it’s all up to Samsung as to what it has planned for its future phones. For now, Samsung is preparing to bring the next generation Galaxy S25 series to the podium at the end of this month, with users expecting some major upgrades to the upcoming models, from camera hardware to design tweaks.

50mp binned to 12 mp to get good night photos is best 👌

I want bigger sensor size not bigger number just like dslr camera that 12 mp beats 200 mp phone cameras and true to life colour photos

Then Samsung will reduce sensor size to cut costs. If not so they should provide 1inch sensor on 200mp it will bd great enough.
Also, due to EU Laws they can't be able to sell S26 serves from Feb 2027 unless they hive user replaceable battery starting next year. So, it makes more sense to give user replaceable batteries next years. Similarly iPhone gave type c port in 15 series so that they can be sold now in EU, if theg hadn't onky 16 series with type c would have been able to retail in EU and EU has 27 countries atm.

Also, Samsung should give 200mp tk other S series when they revamp ultra's camera.
