🔥 Heating, 5G isn't that Time-efficient ! 🤔🤨

ON PAPER DATA:

• A Good 4G Network can reach Download speed of 100Mbps (=12.5MBps) &

• A Good 5G Network can reach Download speed of 400Mbps (=50MBps) _ Although 5G Speed can technically reach 10 to 20 Gbps (Advertised).. But here we are talking about General/ Average speed, in INDIA.

REALITY:

• In reality I'm getting 4G Speed of around 5MBps

• In reality I'm getting 5G Speed of around 20MBps

- & I'm happy about that.. It's a pretty much good speed.

BUT THE ISSUE IS - HEATING 🔥

• Whenever I use 5G the Phone starts to HEAT so much that after downloading about 1.5GB data.. the Phone Switch from 5G to 4G.. & it doesn't switch back Unless the Heat become Normal Again.

• I was downloading a 7.5GB file yesterday night.

My ambient temperature 🌡️ was 28°C, which is a Cool environment in INDIA (As nowadays temperature is reaching 45°C at Daytime in India 🥲)

So, After downloading about 1.5GB the Phone become very HOT and switch to 4G (from 5G) .. then I was trying to cool down the Phone by doing following actions - I turn off the Mobile data(I occasionally was turning on the data to see if it's getting 5G or not), There was Only One App running, Brightness was at 10% or less etc.

[At that time I already have consumed my 100% 4G data, so File was not downloading in 4G, 10kbps speed]

& About 5-7minutes later the Phone become a bit less Hot and 5G was there, so it started the downloading again.. and again after downloading another 1.5GB (Approximately) the Phone become so Hot that It switched to 4G, again .. This time I didn't turn off the Mobile data but did the other activities.

Again after 5-7 min it started to download the file in 5G....

[Due to heating 5G Speed wasn't constant, it was fluctuating between 10MBps and 22MBps]

This happened about 4times in total..

And it took about 30 min to finish downloading the File.

CALCULATION (APPROXIMATE):

• In 5G •••••••••

7.5GB in 30Minute == 4MBps

• But in 4G, I get about 5MBps of Speed.. so In 4G it should take about 26Minutes to Finish the Downloading 😂.. Which is Time efficient. And do not have to worry about my phone because it's not overheating.

• So, Download speed in Average: 4G>5G

(Also note, 4G speed can reach upto 12.5MBps , without heating like 5G... So, if you have better Speed than that of My location.. this GAP will be more significant.)

CONCLUSION:

• The optimisation of 5G that our phones (SAMSUNG) have right now isn't up to the mark... according to INDIAN environment.

• Use of 5G makes sense when It's Unlimited & When the download file is under 1.5GB

• ALSO NOTE, It was 28°C when I've tested this Heating issue.. so, when temperature is above 28°C , the phone may heat up faster and switch to 4G, faster.

• Heat can Damage Battery, Can damage Waterproofing.. so, using 5G (right now) to download Big files, comes at a cost. & Ironically, 5G was made to Download Big files Faster 😂.

• SAMSUNG SHOULD OPTIMIZE THEIR PHONES FOR 5G SO THAT IT DO NOT HEAT UP SO MUCH WHILE USING 5G.

• 5G for Small file(1GB) - 🐰• ✅

5G for Big files... - 🔥 • 🚒

You're lucky that you have download speed of 314Mbps (=39.25MBps)..
But, Not most places have such download speed.
About 4 months ago (In my area) I was getting about 250Mbps but now it's about 200Mbps .. which also fluctuates depending on the Peak hours.
