What does this Broadcast Channels feature do when we enable it?

I've found this feature in SAMSUNG MESSAGES app.

Just turn It On And That's Set.
You Will Start Getting Important Info etc about any danger or Other Info.

I know about this use bsnl Sim and select 2g service in network mode and turn on cell broadcast option u will receive cell info message about your area as sms
It will inform you about your cell location
