Maintenance Mode

I recently gave my phone to service (display Change) in maintenance mode but they ask me to remove it and ask my pin too.

Is maintenance mode 🤔 a gimmick.

Same thing also happened with tmy colleague. Samsung should take steps regarding this issue.
