If you prioritize longevity and maximizing battery life, it's best to avoid regular full charges.

While it's technically safe to charge your phone to 100% in most cases, it's not ideal for long-term battery health. Lithium-ion batteries, commonly used in smartphones, undergo stress at both extremes of their charge cycle (0% and 100%). Frequent charging to 100% can accelerate battery degradation, leading to reduced capacity and potentially shorter lifespan over time.

Here are some potential downsides of regularly charging to 100%:

Reduced battery life: Over time, the battery won't hold its charge as well, necessitating more frequent charging. Ex- Ideal discharge increases from 2% over night drop to 6%

Decreased capacity: The maximum charge your battery can hold might gradually decrease. Ex- Maximum capacity decreases from 6000mAh to 5500mAh.

Faster battery degradation: The battery might reach the end of its lifespan sooner than expected. Ex- Need for Replacement of battery from 4 year to 2 year

However, occasional charging to 100% won't cause significant harm. Here are some situations where it might be necessary:

Long trips or situations where you need maximum battery life: If you anticipate needing the full capacity, charging to 100% can be justified.

Calibrating the battery indicator: Some devices recommend occasional full charges to calibrate the battery level indicator for accurate readings.

Here are some tips for optimizing battery health:

Avoid extreme charge levels: Keep your battery level between 20% and 80% most of the time.

Use adaptive charging: Many devices offer features that learn your charging patterns and optimize the charging process for longer battery life. Use battery protect to limit charging to 85% in Samsung.

Avoid extreme temperatures: Heat and cold can stress the battery. Don't leave your phone in hot or cold environments for extended periods.

Use quick charging sparingly: While convenient, frequent quick charging can generate heat and wear on the battery. No problem if manufacturers recommended charger is used.

Update your software: Software updates often include improvements for battery management and optimization through performance limitations 😐.

But my s21fe lost magnetic eraser after 6.1 download so I suggest not to update your phone to 6.1 until Samsung correct its error. No ai and no camera improvement, phone was better before update. Battery drain became horrible too.
