Screen Retention

Recently I noticed that my Galaxy M20 is showing signs of Screen Retention. Screen retention is similar to Screen Burn-In, but this happens to IPS LCD screens and the later on OLED screens. Also screen retention is temporary whereas screen burn in is quite permanent. Samsung should notice this issue and apply fixes to this, as this is quite annoying when you have dark mode enabled, as this issue becomes more prominent in this mode.

Please follow the below mentioned steps in order to resolve the issue:-

> Please check the brightness of the device.

>Run the device in Safe mode and check the issue.

> Do the reset settings of the device (setting>>general management>>reset>>reset setting).

> If issue still persists, create data backup and reset the device.
