120 Hz consume more battery and cause 1-2 hours less battery backup in comparison to 60Hz.

But similar Hz can show different battery backup considering battery size and screen type .

(In case of same battery size and different screen type)
If you are using Amoled:-
Pros:- Premium experience, Good Colors,Contrast, light control and aod.
Cons:- Less battery backup, sometimes screen burns.

If you are using others :-
Pros:- More battery backup,Sometimes screen clarity comparable to amoled,No screen burn.

Cons:- Everything else inferior in comparison to amoled.

Can someone share what's the impact on battery life when switching to 60 Hz from 120 Hz? What's the S.O.T. like in this case? How's the impact on sAMOLED phones vs on LCD/TFT phones?

Not much, maybe atmost 1 or 2 percent. Been using the device on 120hz from start, battery life never disappointed

Standard mode (60hz) saves battery life when you are continuously touching your phone display like gaming or social media. If you are not using your phone or not touching on screen like watching movies you can set display mode to adaptive (120hz) to save battery. Because it goes to 45hz while you don't touch the screen. This is my personal experience with S series but can't say about other series.

The lower the refresh rate, the less battery your display is going to consume, but by what margin, that cannot be answered, it depends on the user.

Amoled/oled displays consume less battery than LCD ones, so high refresh rate amoleds will obviously consume lesser battery than high refresh rate LCDs. Again, by how much, that depends on users, and the devices.
