5G Software update

I have Gallaxy S20 FE 5G phone. My Service Provider i.e. Airtel says that my phone is 5G but, OS is not 5G ready and therefore it will not work on 5G network. What is the purpose of selling a 5G phone by Samsung if it will not work on 5G network since Software is not 5G ready.

But, then why Sansung Sold these phones as 5G if they don't support 5G network. Isn't it cheating....we paid for 5G phone and got a 4G phone

Yes most of the samsung 5g phones won't support Airtel 5g network . Around 19 phones are not support by Airtel 5G network as per Airtel website due to unsupported software updates by samsung, some people are telling it will take few months for updates for 5g
