Survey regarding Samsung software.

Hey guys! Hope you all are doing well!

I've deciced to run a survey regarding Samsung's software so that I can have a better view of what the community wants from Samsung. In this way, I can help you guys better and can also discuss potential issues and how to solve them with the Samsung Makers team.

In this survey, I will ask just 5 (FIVE) questions and you guys will answer them in the comments section. Participation is completely voluntary, but I will appreciate if you guys come forward to give your time.

We will keep the major ongoing issues (like auto restart and display issues) aside in this survey and this will be a completely software-only survey. We also won't talk about One UI Core here because that has been discontinued. (Also please remember that there are device specific features so not all features are meant for all devices, so please do not put those in suggestions).

Question 1: Do you guys prefer Samsung apps over Google apps (Like Google dialer over Samsung dialer or Google weather over Samsung weather)?

Question 2: Are you satisfied with the animations of One UI? (If the answer is no, tell us where the improvements are required).

Question 3: Do you like One UI? Or do you prefer a separate launcher over it? (Launcher and not another brand's UI).

Question 4: Do you think that software updates improve your experience or do they do just the opposite?

Question 5: Should Samsung switch completely from Galaxy store to Play store even for system app updates?

ALSO PLEASE MENTION THE DEVICE WHICH YOU ARE CURRENTLY USING.

1. No i like simplicity
2. I switched to trebutch UI by lineage cause One UI lags and make performance down like MIUI

3. ROG UI, PIXEL EXPERIENCE, LINEAGE UI

4. IN ONE UI I GOT ONLY TWO UPDATES WHETHER IN LINEAGE OS IT GIVES ME 12.1

1. I mostly use samsungs apps.

2. No complaints! Smoothness could improve i suppose!

3. Yes, i do like OneUi features, except for the fact that the icons r too large n the app drawer could be better too. I use nova with 7x9 or 7x10 layout, plus it gives better paging options, gestures n customization for home and app drawers!

4. Sometimes good, sometimes, probably not!

5. I dont mind either one, but if galaxy store could hav more sammy optized apps for sammy devices specifically, then m up for it too!

Cool! Let's say that Galaxy exclusives also shifted to the Play store. Then? Also which device are you using currently?

1) I Prefer Samsung apps over Google surely because Google is ram hungry
2) NO! Quick panel shutters, navigation lags etc
3) i love One UI home 🏡 ♥
4) Opposite software updates = bugs although not for me because my csc is koo not thaht usless INU or INS
5) Samsung Must use Galaxy Store its better than play store, a bug market

I need more smooth animation in apps open and close, switching gestures they are not well perfect.
Also 120hz implementation sometimes lacks

1. Samsung dialer, weather. It's better looking.

2. No, animations on 60 Hz in OneUI 4.1 is laggy compared to my previous samsung devices with 60 Hz. It seems UI 4.1 is only optimised for 120 Hz mode. There are minor animation glitches they could improve such as in 'app' switching gestures.

3. OneUI is enough, but with improvements.

4. Software updates aren't really that satisfying except for newer stuff. Because these updates never improved the battery life as mentioned. SOT has greatly reduced after OneUI 4.1 for many. Also there are issues related to downgrading of camera image processing with updates (it's difficult to notice, like each scenario's image processing gets bad one by one with update, not all at once). Which is why I have stopped updating.

5. Play store is enough. Galaxy store isn't required as people use it only for samsung apps. Wouldn't mind having it though.

Using S20 FE 5G, on OneUI 4.1.

2) not quite , animations are jittery sometimes. It need polishing.
