So IF I am getting s20fe and A73 5g at 35k, which one should I go for?

Nb: NOT interested in OnePlus or any other Chinese brands. Yeah they may be heavenly acc to many of you. But I don't want it.😇

Also I already have a s20fe5g in my family.

.A72 is garbage for that price....S20 FE 5G is good..if u can strech a budget get A73

Go for S20 Fe 5g. It has better processor display camera as compared to A73

Processor is not a big difference if you don't game, which I don't.(10-15percent diff only). However my biggest concern is the lack of telephoto lens. And is the main camera of s20fe better than A72? I think we have to wait for comparisons. These things plus the update policy is what's confusing me.

Nb: display of A73 is better.. it has super amoled plus while s20fe doesn't have normal amoled.

S20 FE 5G is clear winner here
It's better in every aspect compared to Galaxy A73 5G
Go with S20 FE 5G with eyes closed🙂

S20 FE has dynamic amoled 120 hz so no -issue of display.

Telephoto lens is worth considering because 5mp macro and depth are literally of no use.

Also S20 FE has metal frame and more premium look.

Still wait for comparison videos that will be more useful.

Yeah thinking about that only. However display and main camera may be slightly better on A73. What about the updates? I use phones for atleast 3 years.

I don't think that there will be barely any difference in display as both of them are sporting the same FHD+ 120hz Super AMOLED Screens with HDR 10+ support...
But in cameras, still S20 FE 5G has the clear edge coz it's having the 8MP 3X Telephoto lens with OIS...

Also the Sensor size of the primary 12MP camera on the S20 FE 5G is bigger than the A73 5G's main 108MP primary camera
Both of them have OIS on their primary lens but S20 FE 5G has OIS+Dual Pixel AF which results in faster auto focus & excellent night shots...

Also the Snapdragon 865 on the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is way powerful than the Snapdragon 778G on the Galaxy A73 5G
For the price you're paying, you'll be Getting a lot on the S20 FE 5G like wireless charging, reverse wireless charging & IP68 compared to that of IP67 on the A73 5G...

But yes A73 5G is better when comes to software support as it's on the list of 4 yrs of Android OS updates & 5 yrs of security updates, so the A73 5G will get Updates upto Android 16 whereas S20 FE 5G will get upto Android 14

So now you've to decide that if you want an overall flagship experience with much more offerings on the same price & you're happy with Android 14 then go with the Galaxy S20 FE 5G as it's still an gem at that price point & you can't go wrong with it
But if you want long term software support & you're ok to deal with macro & depth sensors with no Telephoto lens then go with the Galaxy A73 5G

S20 FE 5G has Super AMOLED Screen not dynamic AMOLED
It can stay at 120hz or 60hz constantly
It cannot change refresh rate automatically coz it requires LTPO panel which is not their in S20 FE 5G

Bro s20fe doesn't havs super amoled plus display. 865 is ofcourse more powerful but the difference is only around 20 percent,just like the difference between 855plus and 865.

If you are more into photography still I would recommend you to go for s20 fe 5g and snapdragon 865 is awesome as well as you get there a telephoto lens which is far better than a macro lens (no offense to macro lens tho)
But if you need more and new as well compared to the old design of s20 fe 5g for a73 5g

Macro is useless for me..I never use it. But I am concerned about the main camera only. Because the camera capability of 778 is better than 865. That plus a better sensor may mean slightly better photos in A73. Here is the reference for chip comparison. (Check the table under geek bench 5 - camera shooting)

Go with s20 fe 5g, way better and more value for money than A73.

I, personally, believe that software update should not be given that importance as we actually get "downgrade" than "upgrade" most of the time. And if you are able to get s20 fe 5g with one ui 3.1, then you are getting a beast. One ui 4.0/4.1 is also great and regarding the issues of one ui 4.0, well most of them are fixed in 4.1.

Also, camera quality will be way better on s20 fe 5g as camera processing algorithms for s series are the best. Also, A,M series devices do not have quality haptics, the haptics on s20 fe 5g on one ui 4.0 provide premium experience.

P.s. update your phone when you feel your device needs an update, do not update everytime you see an update. I did that mistake, and now I am on 4.1. 4.1 is great but as I said 3.1 was the best
