So today I heard from one of the iPhone user is when your iPhone is lost, the person who stole the iphone need to use Face unlock or passcode to unlock the iPhone. What he also said is that even if you install new ios in the stolen iPhone, you need to login with your same apple username & password which is currently register in the iPhone to unlock the iPhone. This security features makes the iPhone unusable if it's lost or stolen.

This made he think, when a Samsung user phone is stolen or lost, just with the wipe of the phone software or using hard rest option for factory rest, the phone becomes brand new and we can use new email id to setup the phone. Making the phone usable for the person who stole it or for the person who found the lost phone.

So from what I understand is, when iPhone is lost no one can use it and if Samung or android phone is lost anyone can use it after resetting the software.

Need your expertise knowledge on this topic.

idk about iOS, but in Android, yes it's true... You can flash new ROM and use it... 😬

But there are some security measures in Android too... One cannot just simply flash new ROM... 😂

I guess, that is applicable for specific carrier and not on unlocked versions. Unlocked versions iOS can be flashed via new software, you just need to setup that way.
