Still it serves the purpose which is served by adaptive charging. It extends your batterys life

Actually, charging at 80 to 85% do reduces wears in lithium ion batteries. But the problem with this each time the battery is reduced to 84% , it then charges to 85% which causes more wears and that's definitely not good for battery. Wille in overnight charging the speed of charging slows down according to the adaptation and causes the battery to wear less. The best solⁿ of this is to use overnight charging (like apple phones) with charging limit to 85%.
