Hello guys,

I hope you all have a good day today. I wanted to ask a question to people who are latest samsung devices running on either Android 11 or 12 and has a usb c charging port.

Can someone please tell me whether or not you people have ever used an external harddrive like a pendrive here in this case a usb c type pendeive if yes what did you had to do to use it on your device, did it work from the moment you plugged it into your device or did you had to do some additional steps to get it to work.

I was planning on buying a pendrive to increase the storage, since using a micro sd card is not an option for me.

Yes, using an otg connector you can use a pendrive.

It was like plug and play for me.
I am not sure but when I had an A70 my pendrive was not getting recognised. So I formatted the drive with default settings and then it worked as it was supposed to

I have bought a type c pendrive do I still need to use a connector to get it to work? Since I have still not received my parcel yet I don't know what I should or should not do.

No you don't need it to connect type c. Type c ones will connect without an otg cable. So no worries.
