One UI 3.0: Usability & suggestions on features #InnovationLab

Hello,

Few days back ,I got OneUI 3.0 update based on Android 11 on my Note 10 Lite.

I must say Samsung has improved their software update, delivery by huge margin. Now they are on top compared to other companies in software update. Also this is not only applicable to their flagships but mid range phones also.

Most people have covered great things that OneUI 3.0 brings and I also like those features. But here I am going to focus as part of #InnovationLab on things which should be improved or reverted in next update.

1) Bring back option to hide camera cut out - whether notch OR punch hole. This feature gave users choice which is simply removed now in OneUI 3.0. I know many users still do not like any obstructions on screen.

2) Revert Call Log screen as before for ease of use for dual SIM users - I find this very annoying that good useful feature was removed in UI change. Dual SIM usage is very common in India and most part of Asia. Hence removal of any features should be done after large user base feedback.

3) No option now to rename in Gallery app - This is again dumbing down UI for no specific reason.

4) Floating Notifications earlier used to open app as small app window with option to close. Now after OneUI 3.0 that option is gone.

bro in one ui 3.0 remove destruction option camera cut option not important
dual Sim selection you select option always ask call option in status bar then show both sim but in dial pad not show
and in pop up view you minimize size see image

1) For me hide hole, notch option is important.
2) I know what you are saying but wasn't it better earlier that we got easier access to choose whatever sim we wanted ?
3) There used to be close button which is gone on floating apps.

For dual sim calling, long press the call button and select the desired sim.

I know it but what I am comparing is before and after update UI change.
Why additional 1 long press is needed now?

bro one best feature in one ui 3 when notification come you swipe down on notification then automatically open in pop up view see

Yes, it's good but after opening pop view, close button should be there as it was earlier.

bro I doesn't understand all buttons are available which present in one ui 2.5 why you are complaining

You have to long press on top to get those buttons bro which was not case earlier. Close button was always available.
Please read my post and see screenshot again. I have even showed same buttons but why we need one extra step which was easy earlier.

I always prefer function over form. UI is not about always looks.
Anyways ,I have put my thoughts forward , let Samsung decide what to do.
I don't think they will change so you don't have to worry much 😉

Not user friendly like ui 2.5
