We always recommend to use screen guards form Samsung only. If you are using any 3rd party screen guard/protective film/tempered glass on the phone, kindly try to re-register your fingerprint after removing it by following these steps.&lt;BR /&gt;Disable fingerprint settings and then remove the screen guard.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;Register a new fingerprint:-Settings&amp;gt; Bio metric and security&amp;gt;Fingerprints&amp;gt;Continue&amp;gt;Set secure screen lock&amp;gt;Start with center.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. Ensure that the screen protector or the touchscreen on the fingerprint recognition sensor area is not scratched or damaged by objects, such as coins, keys, pens and necklaces.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the issue still persist, kindly register your concern in Samsung Members app (Samsung Members app &amp;gt; Get help &amp;gt; Feedback &amp;gt; Error report) along with the&amp;nbsp;Video or Screen-shots.       <description>Turn off the animation , the animation itself slows down the finger print reading cause while opening the apps its quite fast...but the face unlock works quite fast right?</description>

      <description>I know it sounds very disappointing but could you please delete all the registered fingerprints and do a fresh register again and try. &lt;BR /&gt;My sister is using the device and I tried it...I didn't have any problems. &lt;BR /&gt;You should try doing a fresh register of Fingerprint or else pls contact Customer care</description>
