Had the bad luck of holding a Fruit phone 12 today, with 60Hz refresh rate, and spiralled down into depression. The thing costs 20k less than my N20U, isn't even their flagship phone, has a 60Hz display and still feels smooth af. When are we gonna get there Sammy?

Whatt! I don't know how you felt the fruit phone 12's 60hz to be smoother than a flagship Samsung device. Samsung makes the best displays in the market and their technology is the best. I have used fruit phones, Samsung flagships and other devices. I have used all 60hz, 90hz and 120hz, and I can tell you that the M31s I am holding right now has such a smooth display that it feels 90hz. I know why you felt that with the fruit phone 12. The animations. Literally amazing. That is the only thing I like about fruit OS.

What can I say! You have to see it to believe it. I know it doesn't make sense, but I was comparing it with a Note 20 Ultra, running at 120Hz. They've been doing this for years, and they're still doing it. One of the two things I like their OS(the other being their color calibration.)
